Burwood Mock Court |
| Event Description: | An excursion to Burwood Court for students from Auburn Girls High School. Students will be observing two scenarios – one pleading guilty and one not guilty covering three most common crime categories; offensive language, resisting arrest and assaulting police. The magistrate, registrar, lawyers for both sides and police officers will be present. Participants have the opportunity to see how the defence, the prosecution and the Magistrate perform their role in the Local Court. |
